In the beginning...

I was asked the other day how I got started in Neurofeedback from being a Naturopathic Doc.  The story goes something like this.
My daughter was about 6 years old and I was ready to get back into the work force and work outside of my home part time. I had a friend that knew this and her and her friend approached me one day and asked if I would be interested in doing neurofeedback on RAD kids. They are both psychotherapists. I responded with, "What's neurofeedback and what's RAD!" And here I am 13+ years later!
We each paid a third to send me for my education in the field then I spent the next two years paying them back and working with them on foster care children.  It was truly a learning experience for all of us. The changes in these children were nothing short of miraculous.
I learned so much int he first two years and it certainly laid the foundation for working with solders with PTSD later on in my career.  This field has certainly been an incredible adventure and I am looking forward to the next 13+ years!

I love trying different foods. Making it up as I go. Whatever strikes me at that moment. Taro root sliced thin on a mandolin. Lay out on greased (coconut oil) cookie sheet. A little himylain salt. Then put it on my grill.  I went back for more!!!!
